FAQs – The Stuff You’re Probably Wondering About

Not even a little!  Everyone is welcome at Makers U! Seasoned makers are welcome and invited to Teach. Curious-but-nervous
people who just like pretty supplies? Especially welcome.  Have no interest in ever making anything?  Come checkout our Marketplace and pick-up a few handmade items.

Nope. This is a judgment-free zone.
You can take classes, shop the marketplace, do both, or just wander around
soaking up creative energy like it’s a vitamin.

Don’t panic just yet. Each class reserves a handful of seats specifically for day-of attendees. Simply arrive a little early and join the standby line outside the classroom. Any open seats will be released just before the class begins and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A little patience can pay off.
A wide variety of creative and hands-on classes—DIY projects, creative skills, and workshops led by talented instructors who actually want you to succeed. (Some classes may include optional kits so you don’t have to bring your entire craft room with you.)

Absolutely.
The marketplace is filled with hundreds of unique shops offering creative
supplies, kits, tools, gifts, and finished goods.
Bring a tote bag. Or three. This is not a drill.

Children 8 and under are free to attend.
Some classes may have age recommendations—check class descriptions for details
(and to avoid tiny humans with hot glue).

Yes—and you won’t feel awkward for a second.
Makers U! is friendly, welcoming, and full of people who will happily talk crafts with
you like you’ve been friends forever.
